Defense 101 |
As a basketball coach - at any level of play - the defensive fundamentals must be mastered. If you or your players cannot execute the basics of playing man-to-man defense properly, it will not matter what kind of defense you use or how great it may seem to be. Basketball Defense 101 is your introductory course into teaching great defense and having a great defensive basketball team.
On this page, you will find a list of many different drills you can use in your practices to teach the essential fundamentals of playing great team and individual defense.

These drills are listed in progressive order -- meaning that they should be taught, for the most part, in order. For instance, to better understand drill 14, you would need to have a grasp of many of the other previous drills.
