Here is a variation on the tried and true 3-man weave basketball drill. In this version, which also includes dribbling, each of the 3 players gets to shoot a basketball.
This is a nice spin on a drill we often utilize as it gives more players more opportunities to shoot the ball!
1 starts with the ball under the basket.
2 and 3 start in the outside lanes.
1 passes to 2 running up the floor then runs behind 2.
2 dribbles up the middle of the floor.
3 runs up the left side of the floor to the wing.
1 runs up the right side of the floor to the wing.
2 continues his dribble toward the left elbow and passes out to 3.
2 coaches have a ball on the sideline just inside half court and get prepared to pass to the shooters.
3 shot fakes and penetrates to the lane.
3 then passes out to 1 on the right wing.
1 drives to the basket and shoots a lay-up or floater.
The two coaches step onto the floor and make passes to 2 and 3.
2 and 3 shoot then follow for the rebound.
1 grabs his rebound and runs back to the other side of the floor.
2 and 3 each give the basketball back to the coaches then run back to the starting position.
