Our ‘Bomber Secondary Fast Break Offense’ looks to attack and score with several options leading to inside or mid-range scoring opportunities.
Wings make sure to run wide. Post players run opposite of ball then break to ball side block and post up hard.
Our first look is always to the post.
If the post is not open we can either reverse the ball back to the 1 and they enter the ball to the post, look to drive, or continue to pass the ball to the 4. Or 2 may decide to just throw a skip pass to the 4 if 1 is covered up.
4 can look for a jump shot on the skip pass.
If 4 does not have a shot we will look for 5 coming across the lane.
If neither are open, continue on to 3 who looks for a shot or to 5 who is coming across the lane to post up.
Once the ball is revered to the 3, 2 will come in to the back side block and look to come up the lane and set a back screen for the 4 who 3 will look to lob to.
If the lob is not open, 3 will reverse the ball back to 2 who has now replaced 4.
2 can now either shoot, look to lob to the 5 at the post, or drive to the basket and look to score or get fouled.
If 2 did not have any of the 3 above options, then they will continue to reverse the ball back to the 1.
Once 1 received the ball they will look at the 4 on a duck in, or wait for the 4 to cross screen for the 5 at the post and then enter the ball to the 5 coming across the lane.
