This baseline inbounds play works well against a man-to-man defense. It’s simple to run with an easy inbounds pass and a screen that will create an great scoring opportunity right at the hoop.
When the official hands the basketball to O3, O5 slides high to receive the pass from O3. O3’s pass will probably have to be thrown over the defender, with O5 essentially sealing him off.
After passing, O3 takes a couple of hard steps towards the sideline area while O4 moves over to set a screen.
O3 plants and cuts hard off of O4’s screen, looking for the pass from O5.
O3 should be able to catch and quickly finish.
