Ohio

By Jeff Osterman

This quick hitter includes several screening actions, culminating in a flex screen/cut for a layup. Players set up as shown, O1 has the basketball. O2 dives down toward low ballside block and then exchanges with O4. O1 passes to O2. As O2 leaves the top, O5 cuts to the elbow. Once O2 has the basketball, O5 sets a backscreen for O1. O4 pops out to the corner. O1 sets a flex screen for O3 who cuts into the lane. O2 looks to make the pass inside to O3 for the layup or quick post move and … [Read more...]

1-4 Wings Through Screen Option

By Jeff Osterman

This is a nice quick hitter from the 1-4 high set because it gives the shooter two screen options with which to choose. It's also a good way to enter into your normal motion offensive system. The players set up in a 1-4 high set as shown. O2 goes over or under O5 and cuts to the opposite wing. O5 dives to the low block. O3 clears through to the opposite corner. O1 makes the pass to O2 on the wing. O4 clears out to the ballside corner. O3 has the option of making a flex cut off of O5's … [Read more...]

Defenders that begin to go over the top of the flex backscreen can be set up for the lob pass. The Flex Lob Play begins with the O1 passing to the wing, O2, and then … [Read more...]

1-4 Attack Offense

By Hoops U.

The 1-4 Attack Offense is a great attack vs. any type of defense, man or zone. It is also simple enough and easy enough to execute that your players will pick it up in no time. The 1-4 Attack Offense gives you the winning edge because it supplies you with three unbeatable advantages: More versatility in the use of offensive personnel Much, MUCH better rebounding An attack so strategically foolproof that your opponent will have more defensive problems than he can possibly handle Because the … [Read more...]
