Intensity Shooting Drill

Purpose: Teach players intensity and effort in this shooting drill by having them attempt to make as many shots as possible in one minute. Drill: One player with one basketball will start under a basket. To begin the Intensity Shooting Drill, shoot a layup. Purpose: To work on offensive and defensive transition in a 5-on-5 competitive, game-type situation. Drill: Players 1 through 5 are on offense. Players x1 through x5 are on defense. The Diagonal Roll out of bounds play from the box set is a simple play designed to get an easy and open layup. When the official hands the ball to O1, O5 sets a diagonal screen for O3.
