Loyola 1-4 Basketball Play

Out of the 1-4 high set, 'Loyola' has a lot of good action that can create shots off of a basket cut or there are options to create open 3-pointers. The players set up in a 1-4 high set as shown above. The point guard, O1 initiates the action by passing to O3 on the wing and then cutting off of O5 to the low block. Kansas State Dribble Handoff Play

This quick hitter utilizes a dribble handoff to create space and gives the ball handler multiple opportunities to score or pass to an open teammate. The point guard, O1, starts by dribbling to the left. O4 pops out to the top and receives the pass from O1. After passing, O1 continues to the left and sets a screen for O3. Troy Double Screens Quick Hitter

This is a quick hitter that can even be run from a secondary fast break. The inclusion of 3 separate double screens creates many scoring options. As the play begins, O1 has the basketball on the left side of the court. The initial placement of O1 means this can be run as he brings the basketball up along the side (of course, this play can be run to either side. Iowa Overload Reversal

Quinnipiac 1-4 High Ball Screen Play

This play from a 1-4 high set creates possible multiple scoring options. The high ball screen allows your point guard to attack the middle and look to score or create for a teammate. The players set up in a high 1-4, as shown. This play can be run to either side. The play is initiated with a pass from O1 to O4 at the elbow. Old Dominion Corner Pick-and-Pop

This is a nice basketball play that gets the ball to the corner and then utilizes a pick and pop for a couple of possible scoring options. The players set up as shown and the play is initiated with the pass from O1 to O3 on the wing. O2 cuts through to the now ballside corner and O4 flashes to the high post. Nail Action Zone Offense Play

This basketball play can be run against any zone defense, particularly a zone defense where you are looking to get the ball into the middle of the zone. The players are set as shown in the above diagram with 3 perimeter players and 2 set in a low post doublestack. O3 flashes and gets the ball at the nail. Point Guard Screen Play

Great Results Team Building

Run this play against a zone defense to get a 3-point attempt from the corner. Fresno Screen Option Play

To Be a Great Teammate – Identify Your Role

This quick hitter gives the potential shooter the option of which direction to cut off of a screen or staggered screen in order to get open for the jump shot. Also a nice basketball play when you want to get your point guard a shot. Players set up as shown. As O1 brings the ball toward the top, he passes to O2 on the wing. Marist 3-Point Play

This set play is essentially designed to get a 3-point shot. There are a couple of opportunities with the best chance coming off of a ball reversal and staggered or double screen. This might be the play you need when you need a '3'. 2 pops to corner and receives pass from 1. 1 cuts behind 4. If open, 2 can take the shot. 3 pops and receives pass from 2.
